Estimates,
Orders and Final Quotes
- Estimates are valid for 45 days from
date given.
- In-store estimates based on a sketch,
photograph or other reasonable facsimile of your furniture are not final. Final price of
serves to your merchandise is subject to our inspection of your merchandise on our
premises.
- Any price variation between the
initial estimate and final price will be communicated to you verbally or in writing, and
is subject to your authorization.
- All orders must be in writing.
- Because upholstery services comprise
many components from suppliers (foam, fabric, etc.) over which we have no control, all
prices are subject to change without notice.
Deadlines and Order Cancellations
- The service you have ordered will be
completed and delivered to you on or before eight weeks from the date you place your
order, and we accept your deposit.
- Except for upholstered items,
window treatments, draperies, caning/rushing, if the merchandise is not completed by the
deadline promised, Garistina Upholstery LLC mush offer you the choice of:
1. Canceling your order with a prompt, full refund of
any payments you have made, or
2. Accepting delivery at a specific later date.
- We are not responsible for delays
caused by factors out of our control, such as, but not limited to, suppliers' delays of
materials necessary to complete your order. Within reasonable limits, we will inform you
of any delays that may impact your delivery date beyond the eight-week maximum.
- We do not require, but do recommend
that you make alternate fabric/accessory selections in the event delivery of your original
fabric selection/accessory is delayed, or the original fabric selection/accessory is
discontinued by the supplier, or otherwise unavailable from the supplier.
- Orders cannot be cancelled.
Refund Policy
All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or store credits, except as stated
above.
- There are no refunds or exchanges on
fabric that has been ordered.
- Once Garistina Upholstery LLC has met
the specifications of the job, there will be no refunds or reselections on delivered
merchandise.
- Faulty or defective products,
merchandise not serviced to you written specifications, and shop errors will be repaired
at no charge up to 30 days from delivery date. It is your responsibility to notify us of
any defects. All other repairs which are not shop errors will be charged accordingly.
Please call for authorization and determination of the error before returning the goods.
- Garistina Upholstery LLC cannot
assume responsibility for CUSTOMER'S OWN MATERIAL (COM). This includes, but is not limited
to, fabric which has unmarked, major or minor manufacturing defects, print distortions or
color variations of any kind. We will inspect COM during cutting as well as we can. To
help insure the best possible product for you, please inspect material and instruct your
vendor to make all necessary markings of the defects before delivering the fabric to us.
- We cannot be responsible for dirt or
crease marks caused from fabric being folded instead of rolled on a tube.
Abandoned or Undelivered Merchandise
- Any merchandise abandoned by a
customer shall be considered property of Garistina Upholstery LLC. The customer's deposit
shall be used to defray storage costs at a rate of 1.5% per month. Calculations for this
charge will begin from the date the merchandise was accepted at Garistina Upholstery LLC.
Once deposit has been exhausted, merchandise shall become the property of Garistina
Upholstery LLC, and we will dispose of it as we see fit. Should the customer later decide
to perform the service, and we have not disposed of the article, we reserve the right to
charge another deposit.
- Abandonment is defined as the
customer's failure to pick up or accept delivery of service merchandise within 30 days. In
the case of unserviced merchandise, abandonment is defined as the customer's failure to
select or provide fabric and/or other material to Garistina Upholstery LLC, or to provide
written or verbal direction necessary to complete the job within 30 days of pick-up or
conveyance of the merchandise to our premises.
- All merchandise must be picked up or
delivered within 30 days of completion or a storage charge will be added at 1.5% per
month.
Deposits
- A minimum 50% deposit is required on
all merchandise orders. Some orders may require a larger deposit, subject to our
discretion. Deposits are not returnable once fabrics or other supplies essential to the
completion of the job have been ordered.
- No merchandise will be accepted
without a deposit.
- Balance is due prior to delivery or
pick-up of completed job. We reserve the right to refuse to release any merchandise upon
which there is an outstanding balance.
- Accepted is defined as a pick-up by
Garistina Upholstery LLC or our designated representative, or conveyance of the
merchandise to our facility by the customer or his/her designated representative.
Returned Checks
- Returned check fee is $50.
